Life unfolds with its share of challenges, trials, and moments of hardship. Nobody remains untouched by the human experience of pain and hurt, even those whose lives may seem 'perfect' from the outside.

In sharing your experiences with me, there's no need to hold back—I embrace the entirety of your journey. My commitment is to sit with you in moments of distress and discomfort, driven by a genuine passion to aid in your healing process and personal growth.

With over twenty-five years of experience of working with trauma, I've had the privilege of working with individuals facing general adversities in life, along with some of life's toughest challenges—from warfare and neglect to illness, abuse, and more as well as the not so big traumas of experiencing life such as grief, redundancy and other life transitions.  Witnessing the resilience of individuals navigating such experiences is a continuous source of awe and honour.

My academic journey led me through humanistic theories at the University of Nottingham, resulting in a first-class honours degree. These theories focus on all the aspects that inform and influence who we are.

I have a genuine love for learning, continually pursuing training throughout my career.  Since my degree I continue to learn and develop my practice and have trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a structured therapy model that is particularly helpful in processing traumas .

As an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, I adhere to their ethical framework and codes of conduct. Fully insured and possessing a current enhanced DBS, I prioritise transparency. Details are available upon request, ensuring you feel secure in your choice of therapist.

I look forward to the possibility of working together, supporting you on your unique journey of healing and growth.
